  • 8 oz smoked sausage, sliced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 3 tbsp honey
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1/4 tsp red pepper flakes (optional)
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • 1 tbsp fresh lemon juice (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Toss broccoli with olive oil, salt, and pepper; roast on a baking sheet for 15 minutes until slightly crispy.
  2. In a large skillet over medium-high heat, add olive oil and cook sliced sausage for 3-4 minutes until browned. Remove from skillet.
  3. In the same skillet, add shrimp; cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove from skillet with sausage.
  4. Lower heat to medium; melt butter in the skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté for 1-2 minutes. Stir in honey, soy sauce, and red pepper flakes; simmer for about 2-3 minutes until slightly thickened.
  5. Combine the shrimp, sausage, and roasted broccoli in the skillet; toss well in the sauce and heat through for an additional 2 minutes.
  6. Serve hot over rice or noodles if desired.
